Lyman K Bunderson

Lyman K Bunderson born February 7, 1936, to Nephi and Iola Keetch Bunderson was born at home in St. Charles, Idaho and passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on November 5, 2023. 
He spent many many hours fishing on the creek that ran behind their family home. His greatest joy and interest was helping his dad farm and riding horses.  Lyman attended school in St. Charles and went on to graduate from Fielding High School. 

 Lyman worked as a Welder at Stauffer Chemical, and later was offered a job at Lifton Pumping Plant with Utah Power and Light; he went on to be an equipment operator for UP&L. He retired in 1991 due to health conditions.  He always said he had the two best jobs - Utah Power and Light and being a farmer. Lyman purchased the ranch from his father and ran it up until six years ago when his body wasn’t able to hold up to the strenuous work, He was an extremely hard worker!

  He married Shirlee and he received what he considered his two greatest blessings - his two daughters, Deb and Sandy; they were the loves of his life. Family was his everything - he adored his grandkids and great grandkids.   He was a friend to everyone and was always willing to lend a helping hand.  He enjoyed square dancing, camping, hunting, fishing, but his true love was working his land and taking care of his cattle!

He is survived by his best partner in crime Tip, his daughter Debra Lynn Freeland, (Bill), Sandra Bunderson, six grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and his two sisters, Afton and Marilyn.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Whitney. Funeral services will be held Saturday 11th of November at 12 noon with a viewing from 10:30-11:45 at St. Charles LDS Church. Interment will be in the St. Charles Cemetery.
