John Raymond Hale

John R. Hale, 82 of Paris passed through the veil on Tuesday October 9 at Bear Lake Memorial Hospital

 John was born in Harlan County Kentucky to Jeff Hale and Cory Gray Hale he was raised by Jeff and Marie Patterson Hale. John had six siblings, five sisters Jackie, Jewell, Shirley, Sue and Jessie and his brother Reed.

 John often spoke of his childhood in Kentucky entertaining listeners with stories of a stern upbringing and the mischievous adventures of an imaginative fun-loving gang of rural children and the loving uncles and extended family who took him raccoon hunting and allowed him to just hang out with the older feller's feeling special bond as their young buddy 

 John was a proud member of the services first joining the army when he was too young and enlisting in the Marines after he was found out and a second enlistment in the Marines after which he married Lois Anita Reuther in 1960 in California and became father to two glorious boys Randy and Patrick he and Lois later divorced, he married La Rae Jensen Poulsen in California also divorced, was married to Nancy Elizabeth Stevens in Montpelier in 1974 and were 44 years devoted to each other.

 He had a long career in construction partnering and owning construction businesses in California then Idaho/Utah and then was employed as building superintendent on several commercial buildings in Idaho, Nevada and Arizona.

 John loved hunting, working and conversation he loved vintage autos and dabbled in some restoration.

 He was extremely proud of his sons and grandchildren and was grateful for a visit giving him the chance to meet his two youngest great grandchildren just three weeks before his passing. 

 He is survived by his wife Nancy and son Randy Hale and his wife Lavergne Schwarz Hale, grandsons Josh and Cody and granddaughter Amanda. Great grandchildren - May-Lee, Molly, Elizabeth, Jonah and Emery. Siblings - Jackie Cash, Jewell Morris, Shirley Bailey, Sue Swanson and Reed Hale.

 Predeceased by his son Patrick Allen Hale 2013 and sister Jesse Ball
